Got mail yesterday with a card called The Blue Card 2014 Voting Slate from an outfit called The Democracy Project. It's a hand-out type card with a list of Democratic Candidates to vote for, totally a Democratic voting card you would think - EXCEPT, buried in the middle is the Republican state senate candidate for Palm Beach County - WHAAT? So I goodled this card and it was not an easy google at all. Took me a while to find out what was going on. Evidently this same type of card was also sent to Broward County Democrats with a different Republican candidate listed for state senate amongst all the Dems.
Everyone be careful - only use your official county sample ballot at the voting booth.
A “Palm Card” called “The Blue Card 2014 Voting Slate” could fool recipients into thinking that some Republican candidates are endorsed by the Democratic Party, warned Terrie Rizzo, chair of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party.
