Va. GOP: Voting Machines Malfunctioning in Several Precincts
LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) Malfunctioning voting machines are causing issues for voters in several Virginia precincts, the Republican Party of Virginia says.
RPV wrote a letter to the Virginia Department of Elections this morning stating there were problems with some of the electronic voting touch screens in at least four different Congressional Districts.
....
Virginia Beach and Newport News are experiencing technical difficulties with their AccuVote TSX Touch Screen voting machines, the Dept. of Elections said. These technical difficulties are being addressed by both localities teams of voting equipment technicians in conjunction with AccuVote vendors. Based on discussions with local election officials, the issues appear related to touch screen calibration.
The elections department says voters should double check their selections before submitting their ballots. It also says any machines that show issues are immediately taken out of service and there are still plenty of other machines for voters at the affected locations.

Republican Congressman Claims Voting Machines Are Rigged
WASHINGTON -- A Virginia Republican congressman and the states GOP are claiming theyve received reports of faulty polling machines in almost two dozen locations, with voters intending to vote Republican accidentally selecting the Democratic candidate instead. But the voter registrar in his district is reporting considerably fewer irregularities.
Rep. Scott Rigell (R-Va.) is running for re-election against Democrat Suzanne Patrick, a retired commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Rigell said at a press conference Tuesday morning that hed received reports from 25 people in 19 precincts across the 2nd District who had tried to cast votes for him, but had their votes initially redirected to Patrick. The voters were ultimately able to switch their votes back.
....
To be honest with you, we've had more calls from Rigell's office than from voters, she said.

"AccuVote" yeah, right. It seems nobody likes the unauditable touchscreen voting machines. So why do we still have them?
I don't know if this is cover for Republicans not meeting expectations, but that's something to think about.

(16,286 posts)and a few people have trouble with a touchscreen and they scream like little crybabies.
Now, we know they hate government, right, so surely they wont call on the GOVERNMENT to do anything about it?
The preferred method for the GOP would be for GOP supporters who own voting machines run the elections, this is where they are headed.
Voter ID (unconstitutional and akin to someone attacking this country with a foreign army) is just the beginning, they CANT win ANY future nationwide election or most state wide elections, they are going to be outnumbered FOR GOOD and they will NOT stand by and do nothing.

I trust nothing that comes from their lying faces.

(14,400 posts)pretty bipartisan and are probably more due to poor calibration than outright scamming.

(2,807 posts)Just like their constant complaints about voter fraud, when the real problem is election fraud, just a head fake, a distraction from their malfeasance.
