Time for President Obama and Biden to resign.

Seriously....this nation apparently can't differentiate between serious statespeople and bought-for politicians. The next 2 years will be Circus Maximus where the whole Republican agenda will be impeaching Obama. Since we haven't obviously suffered enough, lets cut to the chase and give them complete control. No more excuses...take complete control of our government and own your ideology. The American people need to see what they apparently voted for...fire sale the whole country, crater the economy, and put your social agenda on the front burner. Better to let the patient experience gangrene than attempt to fight off the infection with too little anti-biotics. Who knows? Maybe the Republicans really have an economic/social strategy that will save this Country! I doubt it....they have no ideas or solutions, but they do have an ideology. Time to Kansasize the US of A. Lets experience the Full Monty of an unchecked Republican agenda. Repeal Obamacare and kill the middleclass! It ought to be a terriffic platform to win in 2016.

basis to do that. They won on blaming President Obama for everything and got away with it. Now they'll have to step up to the plate. How do you think they'll handle the minimum wage issue. I understand that people all over this country voted to raise the minimum wage. How do you think these voters will feel when the ReThugs don't follow through?

I think they'll overreach and it will hurt them. The next couple of years will suck but I can't see how the GOPers are going to be able to remain in control.

It's the more or less normal midterm results in a president's second term. I'm not panicking. We're not doomed. The pendulum will swing the other way; it always does.

is a different sheet of music. That is a number that will not be overcome by an election cycle. or two. or even three. This is a majority that will be with us for a very long time, no matter how well Dems do in future elections.
A 60 Senate Rethug super majority is statisically more likely Dems regaining Senate control. Its not "doom and gloom" crying. Its math.

We must go back to the beginning and rebuild our brand at the state level. State govenment should be the new Dem focus.

Democrats wrongly blame Obama, too!! And we wonder why we lost tonight. Wonder no more.

If Democrats won't even stand with their president who has a solid record--not perfect, but solid--then why should voters?

George Bush, Jr. had the worst fucking record ever! He destroyed this economy, drove us into two wars, spent this country into oblivion, expanded government--but to this very day, not one Republican--NOT ONE REPUBLICAN--blames him for anything! They will stand beside George W. Bush, if their lives depended on it. John McCain told us that the fundamentals of the economy were SOUND! And the Republicans all fell in line!

When Mitt Romney was clearly losing--when it was clear that he was a fucking loser--the Republicans set the narrative and told us, NO! Mitt Romney will win! And what did the corporate media do, including MSNBC--'oh shit, Mitt Romney is going to win'. And what did we do? Fell in line right along with the media, shitting our pants on the night of the election even when David Axelrod told us that we'd be in bed by 11:00 p.m.! That's before they call California!

Democrats: We are our own worst enemy, really. We have internalized a sense of inferiority that I cannot understand. And frankly, I'm fucking sick and tired of being on the losing side.

The Independents that vote Republican--it's not that they really are Republicans. It's not that they even agree with Republican philosophy or even know what it is. From what I know and have studied, people like toughness. They may not have liked or agreed with Bush, Jr., but they appreciated that he stood by his principles. They appreciated the fact that Republicans never wavered. Hell, they are still lying about WMD's in Iraq, and they will lie and defend George W. Bush, Jr. to the death.

We Democrats don't do that, even when our president has a decent record to run on. No, we don't! Instead we get mad because he's not as liberal as we wanted him to be. We get mad because we didn't get exactly what we wanted, even though he is forced to work with these assholes in Congress. We do not stand behind Democrats and are not firm. And yet, we sit here wondering how the hell we lost so badly tonight.

ReThugs will not govern. Why? Because they're never expected to. We expect Democrats to govern and when they do, they often have to make unpopular decisions that we don't like. So, we get mad, and like in 2010, we stay home or don't come out forcibly because we're mad. So of course, more Republicans are elected to office. Therefore, the Democrat is put into a position where he HAS to work with these goons. Problem is: Republicans are never held accountable for doing nothing because they hate government. Their job is to create a government that is dysfunctional and doesn't work so that they can then turn around, point to it, and say "see, we told you that government doesn't work". And the cycle continues.

Republicans will never govern because they don't have to. They didn't and yet Americans voted them back in in droves.

Americans rewarded Republicans for doing absolutely NOTHING.

Americans punished Democrats for doing their jobs.

I'm ashamed of being a Democrats because we are blaming Democrats who did their jobs.

We don't deserve this good man in the White House. Honestly, we don't.

I lived the past few decades with a Democratic President who put through a budget with no Republican support and created 20 million jobs and put us on a road to balanced budget. No American soldiers or cities were lost, but they impeached him. Republicans will waste 2 years doing this and appealling Obamacare, which they hope Obama will veto...so they can then bamboozle their base in 2016. Obama took over an economy that was within weeks of complete implosion....without help from Republicans, he fixed what Bush -Cheney destroyed...so he should be impeached.

Best thing Obama and Biden could do is tell the American people, "OK, you think you want the Republican agenda...here it is, let John Boehner lead this Party of "statesmen" and see how things go over the next 2 years. " No more excuses. Let them kill Obamacare, defund the budget, start another war or 2 off the books. Lets not do anything about our infrastructure while we put more people in jail for not being white and lets criminalize contraception while we are at it.

The American electorate must be seeing a different reality than I am. So lets give them what they apparently want...a Great Depression. I am pretty sure today's Republican Party can deliver this.

Americans have not suffered enough under Republican rule.

When the Republicans shut the government down, the government didn't really shut down. Why? The old white folks who typically vote Republican against their own best interests received their Social Security checks. They received their Medicare dividends and Part D refunds. The veterans who continue to vote Republican although Republicans typically vote against Veterans benefits and their cuts were partly responsible for the delays in service (but of course Obama got blamed for it)--they received their checks.

The majority of Americans didn't feel the impact of the government shut down.

So in my view as a federal government employee, when the Republicans shut down the government again, and they will--make no mistake about it--the ENTIRE government should be shut down. EVERY PROGRAM! EVERY OFFICE! EVERY BENEFIT CUT OFF.

See, the problem with Americans, again, is that they use "everyday life" as an excuse not to pay attention. But they will be forced to pay some attention now. When I say EVERYTHING should be closed down, everything--every benefit check cut off--denied!!

Americans apparently haven't learned their lesson at all about the Republican Party.

That is partly our fault because we ourselves are blaming Obama and not them.

So in a way, I agree with you. I still think you're full of shit, but I get where you're going with this. You just gotta rename your OP and use better language.

Bottom line: Americans haven't experienced enough pain under Republican rule.
