Read. Learn. Act.

This election was historically bad for Dems, compared to any election cycle in modern history. The worst midterm losses ever. House loses we will not recover in a single election cycle or even two. Senate loses we will be hard pressed to recover in the next cycle or maybe two. Short term...stop focusing so much effort at the federal level...sorry folks we have bigger issues.

What we can do to fix it:

We must shift, almost completely, to state government races. The only way forward is to capture and hold state legislatures. To capture and hold Governorships. To capture and hold as many state, county and city government elected offices at every level. We have to build from a strong base. Its the "long road" view but, at the end of the day, the only way out of the cold a decade or more from now will be to go back to the beginning and start over from the state level. The only way to change voter laws is to change the law makers. We must hold as many state legislatures as possible so that in 2022, the new Congressional lines are more in our favor in as many states as possible. Hopefully, we will all live long enough to see it.
