EXCLUSIVE: Hillary Clinton Said to Hire Former Wall Street Cop as Campaign CFO

http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2015-04-16/exclusive-hillary-clinton-said-to-hire-former-wall-street-cop-as-campaign-cfo

Hillary Clinton is planning to name Gary Gensler, a former top federal financial regulator and strong advocate for strict Wall Street rules, as the chief financial officer of her campaign, according to a Democrat familiar with the decision.
Gensler, in his role as chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was a leading player in the drafting and then implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act, the financial rules that President Barack Obama signed into law in 2010 in the wake of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. Gensler also served in President Bill Clinton's Treasury Department.
For Clinton, who has been fighting her left flank’s concern that she is too cozy with Wall Street, Gensler is a notable hire. He became known as someone with sharp elbows —even during his negotiations within the Obama administration—in his push for tighter regulation.

There was an interview years ago on Bill Moyers with John Bogle founder of Vanguard. He said "The Financial Sector of the Economy has overwhelmed the productive side". Sounds like Hillary realizes this.

6. Since Warren was a Republican for the majority of her high earning adult life, what do you think

motivated Warren to move away from her former staunch supply side, trickle down, Reagan/Bush conservatism? You can't simply wave away a person's entire biography, wealth and history and just declare that she's always been pulling everyone else to the left.
When Hillary was working on health care reform as a Democratic First Lady, Bernie Sanders was founding the Progressive Caucus and Elizabeth Warren was voting for George Bush and doing consulting work for big Corps, taking fees that were frequently in excess of half a million. That's how it sat in 92.
How some anti choice Bush voting millionaire is tonic and salve to those who have been fighting with me and mine since the Bush voter was voting for Bush is something that has not yet been adequately explained to me.

What initially moved Warren to the left? Any ideas?

This guy is CFO of campaign money. Tells us nothing about what she would let Wall Street do with other money.

5. One of the biggest complaints in 2008 was how her campaign squandered money.

And didn't pay its bills. It was used to great effect to lash out at Clinton, saying that if she couldn't even run her campaign, how could she be expected to run the country, etc. She had a massive overpaid staff. Local caterers didn't get paid. It was a mess.

Hiring this guy for this position is the exact message she needs to send. She can say "It worked for my campaign."
