Santorum: Not my job to correct false claimsBy NBC's Andrew Rafferty

LADY LAKE, Fla. -- What started as a strong and well attended Rick Santorum town hall got sidetracked this afternoon as the presidential hopeful faced a questioner who called President Obama an "avowed Muslim" and protesters disrupted the event.

"He is an avowed Muslim and my question is why isn't something being done to get him out of our government. He has no legal right to be calling himself president," a woman asked, referring to President Obama.

Standing in front of a crowd of more than 250 mostly senior citizens, Santorum did not address the incorrect claim about the president's religion.

"Well yeah," said Santorum. "I'm doing my best to get him out of the government right now and she is right that he uniformly ignores the Constitution."

However, most Republican politicians have no problem with this and agree with Santorum. In fact most of them are where they are only because of they were able to convince the electorate to believe misinformation and lies.

Even John McCain had the gonads to correct 'Bad Hair Harpie' when she started her pathetic diatribe.
Santorum's ethics have finally hit rock sewer bottom. In his bible thumping, woman hating, ignorant dead end trail to nominee, his basic decency and regard for TRUTH have flown out the window. He knows that correcting that ignorant ranting woman was the right thing to do but his greed for the crazy house vote outweighed his patriotic duty to inform and correct the electorate. Hey Rick congratulations on your EPIC FAIL

He said the questioner was an elderly lady, on a cane, "wobbly." He made it seem like he didn't want to embarrass her. Really?

Think about it a sec. Frothy has almost no money and is in one of the most expensive media markets. He's limited in how he gets his "message" (bile) out and has to rely on as much free media as he can get. For him there's only two ways. First are the debates, but as his star fades so do the number of questions and face time. The other option is to "create news"...or have something outrageous like this happen and hope it gets into the 24/7 media food chain.

While we think these claims are not just ludicrious but downright insulting in the parallel universe this is red meat laced with gold. While a Lawrence O'Donnell or Rachel Maddow will, properly, ridicule the shit out this stunt, on Faux the viewers there will be doing pump fakes and screaming for the "usurper's birth certificate". It's the perfect example of how a dog whistle works...

You would think it would be his Job to educate the ignorant in his own political party; after all, he is a candidate running for the President of The United States. As an American Citizen, you would think Rick would be smart enough to know that even an avowed Muslim can in fact also be an American Citizen.

Or has the Republican Party been dumb down so much that even its GOP Candidates are as uneducated as their Supporters. No wonder these GOP Candidates are more of a Comedic Punch Line than Presidential Material.
