Flashback: Watch Bernie Sanders debate John Boehner on single-payer health care in '93

If you have some time to kill and are looking for a good Bernie clip, then follow the link and watch Bernie, Boehner (and others) debate the adoption of a Canadian Style healthcare system back in 1993. You will recognize many of the Republican talking points that are still with us today, and not just from Republicans anymore.

It's an interesting peek into the past. One thing is extremely evident though in that Bernie has not wavered one millimeter from his position on the issue of healthcare as a fundamental right for all citizens since that time (just in case you may have been questioning his sincerity, this will give you the assurance you have been looking for).

So grab the popcorn and take a trip back 22 years to the infancy of Congress's trek towards universal healthcare coverage. Boehner wasn't even orange back then...maybe a little peachy though.

Of course, all the while during the debate these repuke bastards were on their own "government health care" and I didn't see THEM rejecting it out of their beliefs...
