But in a general election.Bernie will be framed as a Socialist/Marxist old man..and we do live in a country who’s citizens listen very closely to Fox Shit!!

We live in a country where a small subset listens to Fox. And that group is going to vote against Hillary every bit as much as they'll vote against Bernie. If you're counting on their vote for either candidate you will be sorely dissapointed.

And the Republicans call all Democrats socialists. The only way to seperate Bernie as a real socialist is to discuss his positions. Once they do that they have lost. Because, once you break them down, most people agree with his positions regardless of party.

She has been posturing her entire career just to get to this point and once she actually makes it to the Oval Office I do believe her "better angels" will emerge.

I agree that she would genuinely take the job seriously, and would care about her legacy.
And the interests of her legacy may help her heed those better angels.

Right now, I'm so aware of her baggage that any evidence of her "better angels", on the campaign trail, and in the White House, will be for me a relief, and a welcome surprise. But if we can get her to the White House, I agree that she will be better than many folks here predict, and better than I've feared in my more pessimistic/skeptical moods. I still worry about her on environmental issues (Keystone XL, for instance), etc, and, as far as the campaign itself, I worry about the effectiveness of her speaking/debating/political skills.

But one thing for sure: we absolutely CANNOT let the Republicans win, for the sake of SCOTUS, the future of our democracy. Every single one of the Repug candidates is a nightmare, and , really, a danger not just to our country, but to the planet.

So I'm all in for the Democratic nominee in the general election.

Wish in one hand, s#!t in the other and see which one fills up faster. Hillary is NOT going to become something she isn't just because you wish it to be so. Her record speaks for her. I'm sticking with Sanders for that very reason; his record speaks for HIM, and I like what I hear. Nothing in this country will change unless people move outside the box and make it happen. I'm going with the real deal, I'm sticking with Sanders.

I think Hillary knows there is still an attitude in this country that a woman might not have the right mentality or skills to be President and that she feels she needs to prove to people she has the cajones to be a strong leader especially in the area of foreign policy and economics. Because of this I believe she may overplay it sometimes beyond what she actually feels inside. Once in the WH she will have the freedom to say and do things she wouldn't have before. I believe even her vote for Iraq war authorization may have been affected by this. If she voted against it that might be seen as a weakness.. being unable to "pull-the-trigger" when a threat arises.

I could be wrong about all this but it's more than just wishful thinking.

Hillary is different. I think she has an inner liberal that is more liberal than she appears.

If he does announce his candidacy, Martin O'Malley should also help to keep issues that matter part of the dialogue.

Whatever happens, the US is fortunate to have three such intelligent individuals willing to put themselves out there. GOPers have nothing like them.
