call the DNC's bluff. M O'M and Bernie should participate in an "unsanctioned" debated ... what is the DNC going to do, have a series of debates with HRC, Chaffee, Webb, and the unannouced Bidden?

I think not; but, I would give plenty of "face saving" time for the DNC ... because, both, Bernie and M O'M will need the DNC come GE time.

Fewer debates = fewer opportunities for challengers to draw out and capitalize on any history of inconsistencies or past mistakes of long-time politiciians with a long record, as well as fewer opportunities for challengers to simply get up on the same stage and outshine the establishment candidate(s). Bernie's record is highly consistent so he doesn't have to worry. I don't know much about O'M's record but I assume he's not worried about his record either.

and successful. Check it out here. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1281

I suspect tptb's reason for minimizing debates is to inhibit his opportunities to outshine the 'establishment' candidate.
