The Successes and Mistakes of Debbie Wasserman Schultz

A lot of people are bashing the DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Not enough debates, not supportive enough on the Iran deal, etc. I think we need to stop eating our own.

Debbie realizes that now is the time for all good Democrats to come to the aid of their party. To do that, we don't need a clown car, or a circus circuit, as in too many debates. Primaries are nice, but winning the general election is nicer. Hillary not only leads in the polls of the primaries by large margins (save a few outliers) and in a year where Obama's approvals are in the incumbent party toss-up range (45%-49.9% approval rating), Hillary looks good. She beats them all (aside from one tie) and does better than Bernie, a self-avowed socialist. Unlike Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, and Linc0%n Chafee, Hillary not only has a path to victory, but a path to increasing our map. One thing about Obama is that he claimed he could "expand the map" and aside from winning the standard swing states, he didn't really do that in the way Hillary would've in 2008 had she been nominated. He did win tho twice, unlike Kerry and Gore* (yes I know Gore really won but not convincingly enough to avoid what happened. He should've not bet on FL given who ran it at the time, bad strategy).

With regards to the Iran deal, while I tepidly support it, that's beside the matter. Why didn't she support the resolution? Well it doesn't help that James Zogby, someone who doesn't honour Israel as much as the American people broadly do, was the guy who penned it. Another reason to support Hillary is that she's well known to be pro-Israel, a winning election stance.

What was DWS's biggest mistake? I think it was not answering Chris Matthew's question to her about the difference between Democrats and Socialists. But DWS is largely right in promoting Hillary, given the alternatives we have. And Hillary is historic as the first female President when she gets nominated and election, and given that Obama will pump his approvals towards the end of his term, its very likely. But overall, I give DWS a B+/A-, much better for us that Reince Preibus. DWS has reverence for party heroes like the Clintons, democratic things like the primaries but in a reasonable way, just the right amount of debates, and an orderly contest.

We suck less was a total bomb last year. 2014 gave us the least Democrats in the House since the crash of 1929. We had 26 debates in 2008. 6 is just pathetic. Opposing the Iran deal was terrible. She's destroying the party with her incompetence.

3. DNC has lost Senate and House seats every election with her in charge.

How many times does she get to fail before she's replaced? She's freakin terrible. Unless of course, she's put in charge to make sure corporatists get elected, D or R, and liberals and progressives can't. In that case it's Mission Accomplished.

Of course, no one is saying that anyone is entitled, inevitable, or that there should be a coronation instead of a contest..

but that said, kids, we really need to get behind the entitled, inevitable one and coronate her already.

That alone should have put her out to pasture. Those Republicans she had a soft spot for have done nothing but hurt the progressive base.

First of all, Obama was a much better candidate than Hillary will ever be. If Obama had a twin brother, I would be fully in support of Obama part 2 this time around. I support Hillary because she's the most likely to win the GE, but she's no Obama. Bernie can't win, and there's nobody else, so we're going with Hillary. Which is pretty good, she's a progressive with very strong qualifications, she can raise a lot of money, and has broad support.

Also, there's no excuse for not supporting the Iran deal. It's a historic accomplishment. Being militantly pro-Israel is not a good thing, but unfortunately at this point the Israeli lobby is strong enough that nobody can get elected if they take a truly even-handed approach to the I/P situation. Obama is about as good as it's going to get as far as I/P goes.

Basically, you are a caricature of everything that anti-Hillary people think of when they think of Hillary supporters. Part of me thinks you are doing this on purpose, to give them ammunition.
