Hayes still can't hide his personal feelings for candidates who come on his show. He gushes over Sanders and Warren and had a hard time hiding his disdain for O'Malley.

But, O'Malley handled it really well. He made great arguments against Hayes on the debates saying of course he'd like more debates as an underdog but there should be a middle ground between 1 debate on the weekend before Christmas and all the debates he wants. O'Malley is calling for a very reasonable 3 debates.

O'Malley was direct and to the point. He didn't let Hayes push him around and he stood up for his criminal justice record and didn't let Hayes tar him with tough on crime and ignore all the progressive policies he put in place as mayor and governor.

Also, loved O'Malley's strong argument for why we should take the Syrian refugees and how important it is to stand up for an America with a generous heart and not let the Donald Trumps of the world speak for America.

Lastly, O'Malley is going to get some heat for the email answer. He isn't covering up for Hillary. He flat out said she should have apologized because she broke the rules and that we need debate so the entire party is defined by her email decisions. Team Hillary is going to at him hard for that.
