Bernie Sanders is the only white guy that showed up

Last edited Tue Sep 15, 2015, 11:32 PM - Edit history (1)

In case anyone is confused about Greg Palast's Facebook/Twitter post

Twitter Greg Palast (@Greg_Palast) tweeted at 0:15 PM on Tue, Sep 15, 2015:
#BlackLivesMatter: I don't endorse candidates — but I also don't tolerate bullshit over facts... https://t.co/MfPM7itQQM
(https://twitter.com/Greg_Palast/status/643865830166523905?s=09)

Facebook, posted by Hell Hath No Fury, http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251595938

"When the Congressional Black Caucus asked me to present my discovery of the illegal purge of Black voters in Florida, only one white guy showed: Bernie Sanders. Hillary: MIA. I'm tired of hearing that Sanders doesn't reach out to Black folk. He's been on the front lines since Selma. I don't endorse candidates — but I also don't tolerate bullshit over facts." - Greg Palast

Please note what he's talking about. This report GOP Led Purge Threat To 3.5 Million Voters

http://www.gregpalast.com/gop-led-purge-threat-to-3-5-million-voters/

As you can guess, the greater majority of those voters are black.

It started with this

http://www.gregpalast.com/the-great-florida-ex-con-gamernhow-the-felon-voter-purge-was-itself-felonious/

He followed up that report with this

From White Sheets To Spreadsheets
http://www.gregpalast.com/from-white-sheets-to-spreadsheets/

They're about the new Jim Crow and how black voters are being legally purged from the voter's registrations in multiple states.

Which I posted about months ago.

Greg Palast won the Sidney Hillman Award for this investigative journalism.

Greg Palast (@Greg_Palast) tweeted at 9:33 AM on Wed, Dec 10, 2014:
Honored to announce we've won the @SidneyHillman Award for our stories on Crosscheck http://t.co/3OdXusXDuY http://t.co/ADKp6heC2j
(https://twitter.com/Greg_Palast/status/542733833158656000?s=03)

That is what Greg Palast is talking about. That is the report he delivered to the Congressional Black Caucus. That is what every person in the House and Senate were invited to. That is where the only white guy that showed up was Senator Bernie Sanders

Greg knows what is really important and just how terrible some people are and that it is all about degrees.

I wish more people knew who he was, bought his dvd's and books and above all I wish some major network would employ him so people could learn the real truth.

else. I always feel sad for people who cling to a talking point long, long after the rest of the world has forgotten what they are talking about. There is something really old and musty about it.

Meantime Bernie has gained so many more supporters and many, many minority voters. Their struggle to continue that old talking point, has had not the least effect on his campaign, in fact I've actually heard people who did not know him when they started with the lies about Bernie's record, get really ANGRY when they looked him up for themselves.

One such person was Lil B, the rapper who USED to be a Hillary supporters, but switched when he learned that Bernie had been fighting for Civil Rights since even before he entered politics.

He said how impressed he was and then began to wonder 'what was Hillary doing while Bernie was out getting arrested fighting for Civil Rights'? So he looked it up and he realized that it was Bernie, not Hillary who was the one who fought for AAs.

Old talking points grow boring and rather pathetic after they pass their shelf life.

comes in higher than helping the 99%. She has done good in the gaining wealth category. From my perspective, Sen Sanders isn't that interested in gaining wealth. He obviously thinks that helping the 99% is very important.

Another thing about Sen Sanders is that he has for many years been available for "Brunch with Bernie" every week on the Thom Hartman Show. I wish I knew how many shows he has done. Thom says that Sen Sanders is the only politician that he has been able to get to appear without a furnished script.

One more thing. Am I wrong or isn't it racist to use racism solely for the purpose of advancing one's agenda?

I am sure there are exceptions. But ask them why they support their candidate and they will us words like "winner", "experienced", and "tough". They want a strong big brother or sister to take care of them. They will ignore facts in favor of perceptions of toughness. They willingly give up freedoms and liberties for the promise of security. Fighting for freedoms and liberty takes fortitude and willingness to take risks. They prefer the comfort of their denial bubble.
