2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumA Reminder To The Clinton Campaign: This Is Exactly What You Did Wrong LAST Time! (*Facepalm*)
I have to preface this by saying that I LOVE Hilary Clinton. She's one of the most competent politicians around. She also happens to be one of the most INEPT CAMPAIGNERS around, has surrounded herself with the biggest idiot campaign managers in the Party, and she's making exactly the same mistakes she made in 2008.
When your operatives went negative on Bernie Sanders yesterday, it was deja vu all over again.
Blast From The Past:
Clinton Campaign goes dirty, and tries to KNEE CAP the Obama Campaign by releasing this stupid picture of Obama in his Kenyan outfit in February 2008.
Here's a little reminder of what that brilliant move accomplished: It was the TIPPING POINT... for the OBAMA CAMPAIGN. It turned half the Party against you, and you never recovered.
DO NOT GO NEGATIVE ON SANDERS unless you want to come in in LAST PLACE, after Jim Webb. Just FYI. And whichever genius told you that this was a good idea should be fired immediately. And if it was YOUR idea, maybe you should quit now.
Just for anybody who may have forgotten the incident.

(33,688 posts)she assumed it was her turn in '08 until this charismatic fellow from Illinois stole all of her thunder. She, like Nixon before her, will NEVER stop running for the presidency. She thinks she's entitled to it and got blindsided unfairly by Obama. So do it all over again.
It's clear that absolutely nothing was learned in the intervening eight years and that her MO is still the same one - tuned to the political landscape as it sat when Bubba left office.
The left-handed soccer bats running her campaign are partly to blame, but SHE hired all these brain wizards. So there you are.

(60,010 posts)He saw it, he commented on it, and it is pretty obvious to anyone who knows how to observe people.
She is tense, more concerned on how to appear real than on being real.
Obama is pretty mellow, as we all know. So was Bill Clinton, and, I hate to say, even Reagan gave off a good imitation of self confidence.
So does Bernie.
Not so Hillary.
