2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJeb Bush really is a deluded character.
During Wednesday's Republican debate, Bush and Trump were going at each other. Trump made the comment that W is the reason Obama is POTUS today, to which Jeb said something along the line of, "I know one thing, my brother kept this country safe."
WTF? What do you call the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the anthrax incidents that followed? And all of the terrorism that escalated against Americans abroad during W's presidency?
And Jeb's the smart one?
God help us!

(7,316 posts)I went to Freeperland to see their take on the debate and was surprised at the response. While some blame Clinton for 9/11, they all acknowledge that it happened on Bush's watch and that Jeb doesn't get to use that "He kept us safe" bullshit.
I also see a drop in their support for Trump. His popularity looks to be based mostly on his outsider status.
It looks unanimous that they consider Carly a FioRINO.

(12,228 posts)with people who can't see anything straight has to hurt, but the instincts of a$$holes will always gravitate toward the bully until they feel betrayed, embarassed or otherwise turned like a herd of dumb cattle at the last moment. The GOPers who feel discontent or fear are probably grasping at the quieter if not quietest candidates for mere comfort- and finding none.
Few have any means of actually thinking about anything, just emoting like fans about the "best" champion in the pig trough. For them Trump excels in many ways that the entire Party establishment has utterly failed and even awakens a "populist" alternative to all the other controlling billionaires who merely buy second rate processed food candidates without fiber and get money for their tiny class- and fail to deliver on the moral hate agenda.
