Bernie Sanders debates....

Someone mentioned when Bernie Sanders and Michele Bachmann went head to head and it tweaked my interest in how he would be at debating. So, for your viewing pleasure:

Michele Bachmann is an arsehole, and Bernie Sanders is not.

By the way, this was not a debate, it was an interview by wee little Wolfie.

Are you championing the rightest of the right now?!

I despise Bachmann and all she stands for.

The clip interested me to see Bernie go head to head with someone in a debate of the issues. I've seen Hillary debate before and I wanted to see how Bernie debates the issues. I thought the exchange was interesting.

Those making such "assertion insults" aren't truly interested in attempting civil dialogue so much as provoking return insults, while I try to avoid doing so, when some posters do succumb, the OP's protestations of confusion ring hollow.

It concerns me that he was out debated by a Republican.

Now I can't stand Michele Bachmann .....but it is worrying to me that Sanders performance was so poor when debating her on the issues he is most concerned with. Of course it's just my opinion that he performed poorly in his exchange with her...but I think others may agree.....it was not his best performance.

because the facts are on his side and Hillary wont be able to get by with Rhetoric as Michelle is trying to do here.

I believe what the Debate host will do (and Bernie will not stand for it) is try and silence Bernie by cutting his answer short by interrupting to try and give the advantage to Hillary.

On this interview I think Wolf did ok by not barging into the conversation.

Also what one must remember Michelle Bachman is no longer a Congresswoman because her "rhetoric" fissled out.

Wolf Blitzer's ability or willingness to be a moderator with any sense of integrity.

Bachmann continuously interrupted Bernie and Blitzer never said a word nor allowed each person their own time to speak and rebut.

I'm curious though what year did this take place?

are given a time allotment to make their points and rebuttals, Blitzer never interjected to do such because he is as equally bankrupt in the journalistic integrity department as he was in his Jeopardy earnings.

Having said that under these circumstance's Bernie handled Bachmann's rudeness with grace and I have no doubt should a Democratic or even Republican candidate approach Bachmann's rudeness that will shine through to the American People.

Bachmann did't have those concerns she wasn't running for reelection in 2014 when this took place per the OP's post having barely won reelection in 2012 and being investigated by the House Ethics Committee among others.

Bachmann is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee, the Federal Election Commission, the Iowa Senate Ethics Committee, the Urbandale Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation because of alleged campaign finance violations in her 2012 campaign for President.[160][161]

(snip)

On May 29, 2013, Bachmann announced that she would not seek re-election to her Congressional seat in 2014.[167] Bachmann stated in an interview with Fox News in June 2013 that she was "not going silent," and would remain involved in politics. She did not rule out a future run for office, or even for the White House.[168] She also said that probes into her campaign finance and the narrow margin of victory for her election were not a part of her decision against seeking re-election.[169]

Debates get heated, every debater will attempt to go over their allotted time and speak over their opponent to make their point. Meekly allowing one's opponent to walk all over your message and you will not win debates.

Really?! Were you enjoying Bachmann's gish gallop? How DARE Sanders interrupt her interruptions! Any take on the topic of discussion, or how avowed Obama hater, Bernie Sanders defended the increase in jobs under Obama's tenure? Better luck tomorrow.
