(14,255 posts)Some states have to grant permission for Bernie to be on the ballot. A DNC chair who would actually campaign for a GOP buddy just might encourage those states to not put Bernie on the ballot. So I would want to see Hillary sign up first, and have Debbie Blue Dog's blessing. In writing.

(2,792 posts)Let's see who has the courage to follow!
I predict that Debbie will have legal and PR issues from O'Malley's campaign, if she tries to ban him from DNC debates.
Exclusivity clause is not legally binding; and Debbie has no authority, unless the candidates willingly hand it over to her.
It's time for all the candidates to stand up to this nonsense and tell her who's boss.

(2,792 posts)O'Malley's campaign was not informed about the exclusivity clause until after DWS inserted it.

(12,655 posts)for being the first one in the pool. Frankly, I hope they all agreed to do it. It would completely undercut Debbie's power.
