This, to me, is what this primary is all about. A choice between corporations and the people.
How on earth can Hillary compete with that? How can she even explain herself? Maybe she can try to thread the needle, to explain why there needs to be a "balance," but I think more and more voters are realizing you can either do the bidding of giant corporations, or you can support the people - that you can't have it both ways.

(41,600 posts)A very rare bird in our government.
If citizens ever want things to change for WE THE PEOPLE , Bernie's the only logical choice.
They have to stop voting for people who are bought and paid for by Corporations (which is everyone else running) or their lives will only get worse.

Only ONE candidate is honest about doing so.

(72,790 posts)And I will not vote for Hillary.
There will be other choices.
I live in CT--the DEM nominee will win my state---so I am free to cast my ballot for someone else if Hillary is the nominee. It's a win-win.

And I will sign on to Bernie's newsletter as he continues in his Senate seat. I will then be part of the movement he is creating to fight for the people of our nation. The Revolution will continue.

(819 posts)... think they will have that energy with someone like Hillary? There are plenty never having been involved in the political process or a campaign that are enthusiastically feeling the Bern. Think they would transfer their enthusiasm, time and money for her?
This I know, I don't have to volunteer or donate money to a candidate so entrenched in the corporate way of doing things. She will merely be the lesser of two corporate evils that will appoint a member or two on the SCOTUS. It is a defeatist position, not that she cares how she obtains votes.

(1,432 posts)Are you equating the spoon to the amount of money he has to campaign with, or to his policy positions?
Just curious. Thanks!

(1,432 posts)but I think he's proving that you can build support w/o money. If all it comes down to is money, then as a nation, we are truly screwed no matter who gets elected.
