2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBernie is up at the NH Democratic Convention live on C-SPAN
Hillary spoke first to an appreciative and packed house. She gave a long but good speech, one of the liveliest speeches I've ever heard from her. O'Malley got the 12:30 lunch time slot. I thought he sounded stilted and forced. His reception was tepid. Bernie sounds like Bernie; he seems comfortable in his own skin, and fluid. His reception is enthusiastic, though the house is not as packed.

(12,685 posts)That's what I noticed after Bernie spoke.
So Clinton spoke first so she could include all supporters and say she spoke to a packed house.

(114,904 posts)But it should be noted that she was slotted in by far the best spot and her introductory film was actually produced by the NH Democratic Committee, the same folks who produced the convention. She had the party machinery firmly behind her.

(12,685 posts)The Democratic Establishment seems to be firmly behind Clinton because they don't seem to mind how she Clintons conduct business in Washington.

(46,179 posts)I didn't listen to all of HRC's speech; I'm trying to write a term paper while listening, so I'm trying to condense time.
Bernie just got done. I thought he did a fine job. I was particularly struck with his plan for reaching, energizing, and activizing (my sort-of-word, no his, lol) voters. I wish more of the establishment had stayed to hear him advocating for growing Democratic support.
