I will say that I think it would be a big mistake for people to try to attack him personally OR his family.

(48,181 posts)1. 1988: campaign was already in disarray when he plagiarized Neil Kinnock, and then it turned out he had a history of plagiarism. Did not finish.
2. 2008: "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy". Campaign was already in disarray when Biden inserted foot, leg, torso, neck and head into mouth. Did not finish.

(23,730 posts)but if he brings up debt and deficit everyone will remember his interning for MBNA on the Senate floor, and "he HAS to represent corporate as much as real constituents" will leave quite the bad taste; "I voted for IWR" could've been permissible in 2004 but voters of any "information level" are gonna have heard of ISIS
