Hillary in Iowa--Food for thought

This caught my eye. http://www.liberalsarefunnier.com/is-bernie-sanders-really-killing-in-the-polls/

HuffPost reports the inevitable http://www.huffingtonpost.com/h-a-goodman/its-official-bernie-sande_b_7660226.html All the progressives and far-left liberals knew it would happen. How could it not? Bernie Sanders is even more captivating than President Obama is. Every word out of his mouth reverberates thru the social media sphere like a million megaphones. His consistent views and his allegiance with the 99%, and more notably against the 1%, have won over even independents and conservatives.

In both the 2008 and 2016 primaries, I have switched my support away from Hillary Clinton. Being a feminist since I was 11, I felt like I was betraying my gender. But I have to follow my values before my long-standing desire for a female president.

I remember, since Sanders became Senator, the memes that would come out with his speaking points. I remember hoping he would run for president. That came to pass, thanks to Bernie having empathy for his fellow man.

Conservatives who lack empathy and engender hate against those who try to take “what is theirs” may not support Sanders but I predict we don’t need them at all. I fume at their protection of “what is theirs” when our ancestors swarmed the American continents like marauding army ants. What they think is theirs had belonged to others at a time long ago, some of whom welcomed us immigrants and foreigners who had a strange, intolerant religion, unknowing the threats we brought. Those conservatives will do as they please, and vote for hateful candidates, but Bernie will be our next president.

Hillary Clinton, the person Sanders has to beat before he can run against the Republicans, has been acting like the hare to Sanders’ tortoise. She is not making news with non-stop campaigning – because she isn’t campaigning in any way like Sanders is. This quote is very telling about her elitist campaign:

In Iowa,1,100 people packed a gym to hear Bernie Sanders speak in May.

In contrast, Team Hillary had an intimate business roundtable discussion with five “ordinary” Iowans. The only problem was that according to The Washington Post, “All five were selected to attend her events.” In fact, Clinton’s “staged roundtables” were attended by a total of 13 Iowans, picked by either the campaign or the host.

Therefore, a paradigm shift has taken place. Many Iowans drove 50 miles to hear Sanders speak in Des Moines, primarily because Bernie Sanders has surpassed Clinton as the ideal choice for Democratic nominee. Regarding electability, Sanders has also surpassed Clinton as the realistic choice for Democratic nominee in the minds of many voters, because as one Salon piece illustrates, Hillary “just doesn’t get it.”

13 people? Does Hillary realize she needs more than 13 people to win Iowa? Even with the DNC show-runners ostensibly siding with Clinton, people will still be voting for Sanders in the Democratic primaries and caucuses. If the DNC is counting on their chosen state delegates to nominate Hillary over a popular tally of primaries and caucuses showing that the public wants Sanders, they will be disappointed. No one wants that kind of scandal…delegates almost always go with the popular vote in a nomination.

Hillary the Hare will keep falling behind, perhaps due to thinking she has it all wrapped up.

I don't walk away, I question.

The whole thing about picking people for a round table has always bothered me. I've never understood why our candidates do that. If Bernie was doing it, I'd have a problem with that too.

I guess people could be "captivated" by Sanders, but Obama is a hell of a public speaker.

Obama and Sanders, they both are skillful speakers versed well in the art of communication.
Personally, I always thought Obama sound a lot like The Rock lol https://screen.yahoo.com/rock-obama-angry-obama-000000460.html Keep in mind that is The Rock's real voice.
