2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forum"Collapsing" is a relative term. Hillary's numbers are "Steadily Declining".
It doesn't really matter how Joe Trippi spins things. The evidence is overwhelming.
Back in April the ratio of Clinton supporters to Sanders supporters was about 7:1
In May it was more like 6:1
By the end of June it was closer to 4:1
Late July saw it at around 3:1
Even in late August it was still at 2:1
Now it is roughly 1.5:1
Today's NBC/WSJ poll has it nearly tied with Biden in it and slightly below a 1.5:1 ratio with Biden out of it.
Maybe the trend will change, but until then it is truthful to say that her numbers are steadily declining.
P.S. If you go to:
http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2016-national-democratic-primary#!mindate=2015-04-01&estimate=custom
and check out those little dots that are above the median line for Hillary, you will notice that many of them are all from the same pollster. They have 5 in a row well above that line and the last one below it was from late July. I'm not sure what the methodology there is but it may need to be looked at. It seems to be skewing the average in Hillary's direction. From what I can see, all the other pollsters fluctuate around that line. Only that one is steadily above it. At least they have been well above it since her numbers started collapsing in late July. Err... sorry, "steadily declining" at a faster rate.
