A story of a freindly quiet far right small business owner

The right has lost their mind. My wife and I frequent a small bar/restaurant locally. They have good food, and most of the time excellent service. We were there many days a week. In a months time, I would imagine we spent 500-600. We had become good friends with the owner until he indicated that he supports the far right. He thinks Obama has screwed him and all small businesses across the land. Nothing to support his reasoning, he just hates Obama. And with Obamacare becoming a reality, he really went off. After a few drinks, we started talking about Rmoney and his inability to show the past 10 years of taxes. My question was "Why wont he show his taxes?" He him hawed around the question for 1/2 hour, trying to change the subject. I put down one more long island tea, and kept asking him the same question. Finally, at the top of his voice, in a room full of patrons, he said "I don't give a fuck. Anyone but Obama." People were looking at him in awe. I was shocked. He finally left the table, and were never going to go there again. I don't support hateful assholes like him, so I'll hit him in his pocketbook. I'm sure he'll blame Obama for that too, since his income will go down.

They point the finger at the left for everything, whether its right or wrong. But when the right is wrong, the say so what. Quite sad to not even recognize the fact that their candidate is worse than Bush, and don't care. They don't care about where the country is going. just themselves. The hatred for the left is venomous.

It's their narrative, their meta-framing that they've adopted. Their opponents are calculating and perverse, whereas they are just reacting like a "normal" person would to the opponent's "outrageous" behavior. If they go off the deep end, they say it's because they were pushed. If they lie, it's because of the twisted circumstances the opponent has brought about. It excuses all of their extreme behavior.

Their narrative needs to be undermined, to be called out as unnatural, perverse, unusual, strange, etc.

that their candidate really does suck but they are determined to vote against Obama somehow, so if it means registering a vote for Willard "Mitt" Romney, so be it. They will feel "better", at least initially, about voting against the "Kenyan Socialist" but if Romney ends up in the WH, they will not find their situation improved. In fact, they will likely even find it worse off but they won't be left with anything to do about it for another 4-8 years and they, along the rest of us will just have to suffer through the (likely) horrors of a Romney Presidency along with the likelihood of a GOP-controlled Congress for at least part of the time.

Most far right people I know, hate him because he is black. I personally could care less what color his skin is as long as he can do the job. I have been quite pleased with most of what he has accomplished. And it finally looks like he's starting to throw back some of the bullshit they have been giving him for years.

Refer to this link for his accomplishments.

Millions of people watch Fox, don't even care if it lies or not. But it appeals to their basest emotions: fear and anger. The fear begets the anger, and when the anger takes over, with apologies to Metallica, nothing else matters, least of all facts or logic.

Like the cancer right wing radicalism is, it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor. Left untreated, it will consume you, and plenty of people don't want to believe there is anything wrong with them until it's too late to do anything about it.

Physical Therapy, he had this discussion with the therapists regarding ACA, they are scared to death of it.

Tomorrow is his last day, he may have more to say.

And save their daughter from being trapped in a burning car in their driveway while personally bringing them a tax refund that resulted from his policies and then fix the leaky faucet while washing up and finally set up their Tivo like they wanted just before leaving, and they would still hate him.
