I actually got to hear Lilly Ledbetter speak in person yesterday in Kansas City!

This was a kickoff for the 2012 Obama for America campaign. Ms. Ledbetter is the lady for whom the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, signed into law by Pres. Barack Obama, was named. An earlier version of this act was defeated by Republicans in the US Senate in 2007.

Fair pay for women, along with health care, is one of the reasons I'm going to support Mr. Obama this year. I may disagree on some points; I may wish that he would move to the left on a lot of issues; but, he has done a lot of good, enough to win my support.

I am onboard for the 2012 campaign. How about you!
