Is it too early to be optimistic?
Given that Murdoch Media/Fox Network is flat-out and blatantly lying with impunity now, how bad will the lies be as the national election begins to close in to it 6 November date?
Is it possible to get a DU bingo card of lies game going? Which would be the number one lie being told against Mr Obama on 5 November 2012?

(375 posts)Maybe then we can get the FCC to oulaw hate radio and Faux news. Also have health care ban hate chain restrants like Chick Fil A. What else should we ask for during a 2nd term. Need to implement card check for workers. I don't know why the President hasn't done this yet with the ability to do an Executive order. Its time to fix this broken system.

(51 posts)There are 23 online Electoral College opinion maps, which average currently:
Obama 246
Romney 196
Tossups 96
TPM has a methodology that assigns a particular state to the candidate that is ahead in the polls on average by just 2%, whereas the margin of error is generally 3 or 4%. This produces a result that is very volatile, but is also very response to short term changes in the direction of the race.
That being said, Romney cannot seem to get off dead center. No map, including Fox News, Rasmussen, Real Clear Markets, Wall Street Journal or Washington Times, has assigned more than 206 electoral votes to Romney since these maps began to be published in January.

(22,000 posts)They are always trying to explain our system (which is hard because they do it by a popular vote). I believe they used the TPM numbers if I remember right. I was screaming "bull****" at the top of my lungs. Most of the time when they do news stories they put up the reporters name and email address. I kept telling my wife I hope they would because I wanted to send them an email telling them those numbers are wrong. Unfortunately they never did.
