WSJ: Some Democrats Push DNC Chairwoman to Allow More DebatesAn intra-party rebellion is breaking out over Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultzs refusal to sanction more than six presidential debates, amid concerns that Republican candidates are being showcased in events that are drawing millions of television viewers.
Donors, candidates, party activists and DNC officials are pressuring Ms. Wasserman Schultz to relent, and some party leaders say they may try to force her hand at a DNC meeting in December by putting the issue of adding debates to a vote.
Ms. Wasserman Schultz, a co-chairwoman of Mrs. Clintons 2008 presidential campaign, denied any bias in arranging the debate schedule.
In private talks with the DNC about the calendar, Mrs. Clintons representatives always wanted fewer debates than did her rivals, former Maryland Gov. Martin OMalley and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, said one person familiar with the process.
Boyd Brown, a DNC member and former South Carolina state legislator, said in an interview: This process was rigged in favor of one particular candidate, and the leadership of the party should be embarrassed by that.
I have been absolutely neutral and will continue to be, Ms. Wasserman Schultz said.

He seems very waffly and not very passionate at all over the whole issue.
Foreign policy is understandably not a strong suit for some who have had no experience in that vital area.

Is this an issue you'd like candidates to discuss when they debate?

O/M's clear and detail plan for America's self-created regime change refugees should be adopted by all the candidates, and Obama, in my opinion.
The "they are way over there and not our problem" defence is unacceptable.
The 6 debates wil hopefully clear that all up way before the 6th one, which is plenty enough since they will be real debates versus whatever those two already held were in the enemy camp, with....how many more to go.....like one for every candidate?

(12,778 posts)Well, Debbie, I guess it depends upon what your definition of "absolutely neutral" is.
