I'd say climate change, but for a real attack on that we need to get Big Money out of politics and also otherwise implement the principle of one man, one vote.

And it is the main issue for 80% of Americans according to polls.

It is the single most critical issue. How can we get meaningful action when affected interests are buying influence? Our current campaign system is utterly broken. And anyone who claims that it is a priority and yet works with Superpacs and raises corporate cash can't and won't do anything to change it.

How do you explain the fact that LGBT activists closed down Wall St three times over Healthcare issues while being brutalized by the police? Or the fact that the TPP is chock full of issues hugely important to the LGBT community including medical patents, immigration issues and yes, actual 'LGBT rights' not to be executed by TPP partner nations. The largest expansion of Social Security benefits in my lifetime recently happened as a result of LGBT efforts to gain equality, survivor benefits and other spousal benefits which had been denied to same sex couples are now rightfully theirs under the law.

Not even a single issue is a single issue.

I too would put campaign finance first though. Without that, nothing else gets done.

Btw, I would require all public airwaves to carry campaign messages for free. The public owns them, and it's in the public interest, I see no reason why the media should be making billions off of the license we allow them to have. I think it's nuts. Of course, Citizens United has to go, that goes without saying.

1. long term, Climate Change will trump everything

1. Without getting control of goverment back (eg money out of politics, overturn CU) we can't move forward on anything else, including climate change, and

1. Once we get back control of government, there are many #1 issues (several of which are critical to my #1 climate change above)

Where is the major minimum wage increase, that would allow more of us to participate in
the political life instead of working two or three part time jobs or hours of time trying to save a buck here and there?

Increasing the income of all working people, blue collar or white is the single issue that would have the broadest impact.

Major income increase for all U.S. workers earning under $500k/yr. would provide.

More income tax revenue for the government,

Dramatic reduction of spending for EITC and Food Stamp program, both income based.

More income provides money to save for retirement decreasing government aid for retirees who's SS is too tiny to sustain them.

More income to save for that down payment for a home.

More income to save start a small business.

A dramatic increase in the minimum wage would be the most powerful non-government stimulus ever.

Several of the present members will be retiring and it is important to have a Democrat as president or we will end up with more Scalias. Think of what would happen to our laws if the Republicans win, no more abortion, more campaign money flowing into politics, more power to the rich and large businesses, tear apart Obama Care, the list could go on and on.

Second most important is Gun Control

Mon Oct 5, 2015, 01:53 PM

Each require the system to fund it and support it.

Racial Justice is tied to social justice, and economic justice...... and thus education, and socialization of our very young which requires teachers, sites for pre school and a program to reprogram them or at least start earlier than we do now, and that involves social and economic integration and monetary support.

My children's early education cemented their belief systems where they are less of an asshole than each passing generation.

LGBT rights ......... cost money to change each bureaucratic entity be it small or big.

Wars........ .well you are tipping on toes and the DOD budget and that's money... The private contractor and Lockheed and other parts of the MIC are gonna fight that..economic.

Climate Change?...........economic
See Naomi Klein new book and speeches

TPP/TPIP ........... economic

De-militarize police/police violence ....
economic.... training, education and
community outreach.......

Social Security.........taxes? economic no doubt

the others?........... well you know
it is the economic system that is not working
except for the 1%.

As long as the nation is in a constant state of war, we will continue to be frightened into voting against our own interests such as campaign finance reform

To achieve campaign finance reform, we must first end the Global War on People Who Are In Our Way.
