Hillary Clinton just made a Benghazi ad

There's a school of political thought that holds you should stay out of the fray when an opponent is wounding himself. That's not Hillary Clinton's way.

The Democratic presidential front-runner has come out with a devastating new ad that plays on House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy's now-famous Benghazi gaffe. In an interview on Fox News last week, McCarthy tied Clinton's sagging poll numbers to the special committee House Republicans created to investigate 2012 terrorist attacks in Libya.

It was a stunning acknowledgment of the political nature of the committee's work, and Clinton allies believe it will take the sting out of the investigation. Moreover, it couldn't have come at a better time — or on a better issue — for her. That's because she's locked in a primary against Bernie Sanders, and possibly Vice President Joe Biden, and some Democrats have been concerned about her handling of the email scandal at the center of the committee's work. Now, Democrats have a vivid reminder of just how much Republicans hate Clinton, which could help rally them to her defense.

It'll probably cost him his seat. Conservative or progressive, nobody wants to vote for a moron. (Louie Gohmert excepted...I don't know what is up with the people in his district.)

I don't think it does anything for Hillary though, one way or the other. It's not really an endorsement of her performance...just a revelation that the GOP targeted her. That's not about her accomplishments, it's about their bad strategy. If they had perceived that Sanders was going to be this strong, they'd have found something to smear him with for the past couple years too.

As Congressman-for-Life Cantor will tell you if you can find him, eating your own is a GOP trademark. If McCarthy becomes too troublesome for the GOTP, they will depose him at the ballot box.

She has become a public shill for Hillary, having produced insultingly negative interviews of Bernie Sanders and now, this past week, she claimed Bernie was one of the favorites of the NRA . . . !

Sure, I am sorry for the lives lost, but this was witchhunt. There was no "there" there. I am not a H supporter but I remember getting a massage for frozen shoulder and the the therapist went on and on about Benghazi. I made a mental note never to come back to her business. It was more painful to hear someone who believed it to be true than trying to move that blasted shoulder.

Her campaign has nothing to do with the voters and is all about her. She isn't fighting for you with the Benghazi stuff, she is fighting for herself and her career. And quite frankly, that is the only type of fighting she's ever been successful at.

to Americans. We may not get these ads, because we rarely have in the past. But 2016 brings the opportunity to talk about the corrupt and bought system and perhaps to build something better.
