When Mitt Romney Came to Town (Part 1)

When Mitt Romney Came to Town (Part 2)

Politico "it’s everything it’s cracked up to be".

"The film focuses on four specific companies affected by Bain’s actions after acquiring the companies: the washing-machine company UniMac Corp., K.B. Toys, tech company DDi Corp., and paper company Ampad. It charts the jobs lost within each of these companies, talking with families who were affected. It asserts, along with unflattering pictures of money being exchanged and hands being shaken on Wall Street, that sale of these companies made Romney “rich beyond imagination.”

"The people interviewed outlined the ways in which their lives were affected by being laid off when their companies were sold by Bain.

“There’s times you, you know, you skip a meal so your kids can have something to eat,” one woman said, crying. “It’s amazing how many ways and how many meals you can do with one package of hot dogs if you have to.”

We do not want them to surprise us with a more electable candidate. I'm serious. We also don't want this to become old news and a non-issue, which it could be if it is repeated too often too soon.

7. It is amazing that Freepers would embrace a left leaning documentary

Make no mistake about it this is a left leaning documentary, aside from the first thirty seconds in which they pay tribute to Capitalism the rest of it looks like it could have been made by Michael Moore. Are Freepers suddenly starting to wake up? Granted most of them will fall right back asleep again the moment Romney gets the nomination but maybe, just maybe, this will be the moment some of them realize their party has been screwing them.

13. It is left leaning, standing up for workers against vulture capitalists is a left position

While you could say it is American leaning you could also say a pro-Romney ad is American leaning, he is after all an American. American leaning is such a broad term it can encompass pretty much everything within this nation's borders, but standing up for workers is what the left does not the right. Sure Newt Gingrich may be distributing this video, but the views expressed in the video are clearly left of center and we should embrace that not run away from it.

Newt could do this to his own party.

There's something in my eyes. Must be cigarette smoke I guess. Not years of joy - This goes beyond politics.

5. Wow, I just watched it and it is devastating

I never thought I would agree with Newt Gingrich on a documentary about the economy, but this really needs to be watched. What is really interesting is that this does not seem to be aimed at the Republican primary audience, it seems to be aimed at the general election. No one is going to watch this and decide to vote for Gingrich in the primary, but people will watch this and vote against Romney in the general. Gingrich must hate Romney so bad that he is willing to help Obama win a second term.
