And, I am not worried. I predict a significant bump after the first debate ... he has Bernie's progressivism/populism, and HRC's chops ... without either of their baggage.

The sky, well, nomination is the limit!

Remember, Bill wasn't the front runner at this time either. I will wait until the New Year to get a better read on the election.

He has not announced and will not be participating on October 13th debate. Why continue polling Biden?

his inclusion made no difference, he would soon be eliminated. I suspect you are really just disappointed that he polls so well. If he wasn't polling well, either he'd be left out or you wouldn't care. Am I correct?

When it comes to the Democratic primaries--the only polls that truly matter, are those taken in states where the candidates have been actively campaigning and where elections are within a few months.

Sanders is actually doing better NOW against Clinton--than Obama was at this time in the process.

Obama never outpolled Hillary in Iowa, until a couple of weeks before the Iowa caucuses. Sanders all ready is leading Hillary, by double digits, and they caucuses are in three months.

At this time, during the 2008 primary campaign--Obama was behind in all national polls and he certainly was in the states touted in OP: Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

These polls mean nothing. The only polls that are meaningful are the ones taken in states where the candidates are actively campaigning and focusing on upcoming elections in those states.

I'd also like to add, that Hillary repeatedly used this tactic--to suggest that she was the stronger candidate and that Obama could not win a national race. She was wrong on all accounts.

Cherry picking polls that are meaningless because their numbers will re-set once the candidate campaigns go full throttle in those states--is desperate.

We've seen this trick before. I guess we'll be seeing a lot of it again.
