COLUMBIA, S.C.
South Carolina Democrats say three candidates are confirmed to participate in the party's presidential debate next month.

The state party announced Wednesday that Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley and Bernie Sanders would be on stage for the Nov. 6 debate scheduled for Winthrop University in Rock Hill.

Party officials also said Vice President Joe Biden would be invited to participate if he announces his candidacy before the day of the debate, which is being moderated by MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

South Carolina is home the first 2016 presidential primaries held in a southern state.
