They consistently lean right on Democratic vs. Republican matchups--for instance, while every other polling company has consistently showed a public preference for Democrats over Republicans in the generic congressional ballot over the last 6 months, Rasmussen still claims the public prefers Republicans by 4 points.

with GDP growing at this rate in six months, Obama's approval rating will jump. Many times sitting President's are unfairly judged on how the economy is doing, and that has been the case with Obama up to this point. But he will receive credit for sure if these glowing numbers continue.

This will cause even fiscal Republicans who are pro stock market to pause.

is the last indicator to improve. If jobs continue to be created steadily here on out, many Americans will start to notice even if they themselves aren't affected by it.

What is bothersome to me is that the argument put forth in 2004 for reelecting Bush is that "we can't change horses in midstream," even though the war in Iraq was an abysmal failure. Americans seem to want to give Bush another chance. Why doesn't the same apply to Obama? Why can't we give him another chance even when we are seeing some improvement on the economy?

We must give this man a PROGRESSIVE super-majority if we want to see real change, otherwise this discussion we're having is a waste of time.

It's great to have higher standards, but when the well-being of the American people--not to mention our standing in the world--is at stake, we need to be doing the right thing.

My post was a bit tongue-in-cheek.

I'd like nothing more than a prog super majority throughout his second term - I just don't think it's gonna happen.

Gonna help out in battleground states as I did in '08.

Would also love to get the dough boy out of the governor's mansion when his term is up.

especially since he's galavanting around the country campaigning for Mitt Romney instead of running his state.

It broke my heart that New Jerseyans felt compelled to vote for this mean-spirited, arrogant and nasty prick over Corzine. Sure, Corzine had problems but Christie is not squeaky clean.

Maybe I'll see you out and about.

You have to keep your state BLUE!!!!

If they have Obama at 51 percent approvol and have him beating Romney by 6 you know Republicans are In trouble.

Polls are starting to show nationwide Obama's approvol higher than Disapproval and Obama ahead of Romney.

And can I mention this Is all before Obama campagins against Romney.

improving, but I can't believe that the Faux-favorite Republican Rasmussen has Obama at a higher approval than Gallup, although Gallup has had its share of Repub.-leaning polls, too.

The Righties I interact with are melting down. They fail to see how this is possible, in their minds Obama is the worst President they have imagined and how can the majority of the Country not see it that way. They are still in denial, thinking Obama is going to get blown out in a landslide in November. The polls are all fixed in their minds.

The Righties always bring up his disapproval ratings, but they don't realize that even if they slip back above 50%, they're still better than Mitt or Newt's approval ratings. If the economy can improve even modestly, Obama stand to win a huge blowout in November. In a couple months the Republicans are going to have to come to terms with this and change strategy to one of damage control.

We have the improving economy and the GOPer clown show to thank for this in addition to a job well done by the President.
