Romney accepts, Obama declines MSNBC

Unlike Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama will not sit down with MSNBC for the network's forthcoming hourlong documentaries on the two candidates.

As I reported earlier today, MSNBC is putting together documentaries about both Romney and Obama that will air prior to the Republican and Democratic conventions. But in an unexpected twist, the Republican presidential candidate is the only one who agreed to grant the liberal network an interview.

“Mitt Romney: The Making of a Candidate" will feature an exclusive one-on-one interview with Romney that was conducted today with Chuck Todd, who in addition to his duties at NBC News hosts MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown." Todd also interviewed Romney campaign advisers, past and present, as well as a partner at Bain Capital and a high school classmate.

But "Barack Obama: Making History,” which is being led by MSNBC's Chris Matthews, will not feature an interview the president. Instead, Matthews will interview Vice President Joe Biden, Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod, Caroline Kennedy and others.

The Obama campaign declined to comment on its decision not to make Obama available for an interview. The Romney campaign declined to comment on its decision to make Romney available.

they have been all pro Romney..They will very seldom have any negative articles about Romney and if one should appear in the subtopics its soon taken down..The tax issue etc.
Todays article about the new poll numbers is really shocking for the new NBC website..I am sure the President has his reasons.

as for TV..yes I agree with you except their daytime stuff is dominated by right wing talking points isn't it? Chuck Todd is certainly a right wing shill and he seems to take pleasure in reporting positives for Rmoney etc.

President Obama is a busy man (look at the world as it is these days.... I wouldn't want that job!).

Plus, he is way ahead with Independents.
