WaPo: OMalley gets 4 percent support from home stateThe relative success in Maryland of Sanders -- whom OMalley has called as a protest candidate -- may be especially galling for the states former governor, whose eight-year tenure ended in January.
Sanders was at just 3 percent support one year ago in Maryland, matching O'Malley's level. Since then, Clinton's dominant position has fallen 20 points, from 63 percent to 43 percent. Sanders has gained 17 points while O'Malley has't moved.
In all fairness, very few people know who either Sanders or O'Malley are at this point, so let's see how things look after the first debate.

(30 posts)than O'Malley gets from his own state? Shame. It's time for O'Malley to drop out if his numbers doesn't change after the first debates. He won't have the funds to continue.

(2,078 posts)I'll bet a lot of people have no idea who their governor is.

(8,379 posts)I support Clinton. It isn't that people here don't know who O'Malley is, he just wasn't a particularly inspiring politician. We hear about politics all.the.time. here so I think Marylanders are actually quite savvy about who the politicians are, they just aren't enamored with him.

(14,449 posts)I find his presidential run as whiny and uninspiring. I am surprised though. I thought he'd run an intelligent campaign.

(58,785 posts)O'Malley should have gotten more than 4% from his home state by people who thought they were voting for their favorite brand of butter.
