I guess Maryland just isn't recommending him for higher office.

It's like a bad job reference when a candidate polls 4% with the voters that know him best.

Somehow Sanders polls at 65% in his home state of Vermont...

Clinton's main challenger. I like a lot of what I have heard about him. I wonder why he's not doing better in his home state.

I don't know the size of the polled group referred to here, but I suspect it's not significant, and at this point in the 'race,' I don't think polls are worth much.

Just checked: 'Random sample of 1006 adults,' by telephone.

western Md.,for example, while less populated, will be overwhelmingly negative, while Baltimore and PG county, where most of the votes would come from, would be infinitely more supportive (Montgomery county mixed and unpredictable. Pragmatic and establishment voters). Eastern Md. has a sad for O'Malley, as well, but doesn't produce a significant amount of votes.

When she is doing badly, the headline is about how badly she is doing.

But if she has a wide lead, the headline is about O’Malley.
