Romney left Massachusetts with $1 Billion deficit

This needs to become a campaign issue. When MA Governor Deval Patrick took office, he found out that Mitt Romney left him with an unpleasent suprise - A $1 Billion deficit.

BOSTON — Gov. Deval Patrick opened his first full day on the job yesterday with bad news, saying the state faces a revenue deficit of "at least" $1 billion in the next fiscal year.

Patrick said the Romney administration used "all kinds of patches and plugs" to obscure a looming budget shortfall in fiscal 2008. But Patrick, speaking during a break in a morning meeting with his cabinet, said he is confident that severe program and service cuts will not be needed to close the gap.

2. You know what else he did? He killed a woman with a line-item veto.

He line-item vetoed an inspection of tunnel roof fasteners in the new big dig tunnels, because it would cost a bundle and he felt they were "new enough." Well, they failed. Why? Because the company used the wrong frigging epoxy. Had Romney not "line itemed" the inspection, this discrepancy would have been discovered before the ceiling tiles--massive concrete things--failed. They landed on the car of a woman and her fiance going to the airport. The woman was crushed to death. The payout was in the tens of millions.

He is an asshole. A cheapass, stupid asshole.

I wish a clever stuffed toy manufacturer would make a big, weatherproof, Irish Setter with a terrified expression on its face, that could be clipped to the roof of cars and stay in place while driving on the highway, wearing a doggie jacket with DOGS AGAINST ROMNEY on either side.

He killed a woman with a line item veto, and he terrified a poor dog by making it ride, wet, shivering and sitting in his own shit, for 12 hours on the top of a car going seventy or more MPH to his annual Canadian vacation. The luggage was INSIDE the car--the dog on the roof. WTF? Who does that?

The man is a walking, talking exercise in poor judgment.
