2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWell, time for me to take a voluntary timeout from DU for awhile
Not due to partisan bickering or embarrassment or anything else. The fact is I've spent way too much time on DU lately, and today it started affecting my work. And I can't have that become a regular occurrence.
I'm not writing this to get lots of byes or anything else. I need to push send and see the post here to remind myself that, "Oh yeah, I said I wouldn't do this."
And it won't be forever, but it needs to be long enough that I know I can engage and disengage at will. I can't be constantly refreshing to see if the "My Post" tab turns yellow or put off something important because "Someone is wrong on the internet!"
In the meantime, take care Sanders people. Adios my fellow Clinton supporters. Be well, O'Malley-ites. And I don't know if there are any Webb and Chaf fans here or not, but good luck to you, too.

(58,785 posts)and I'm bumfuzzled to realize how much time has been spent switching to this site between jobs coming in. I'd "godhumor" myself if I didn't know work would fix the problem soon enough.
Wishing you all the perspective in the world, Hortensis
