There's no good reason for him to get it other than he was good in the debates. The VP pick will be chosen based on voters he/she can bring on board and O'Malley doesn't have the coat tails needed.

Maybe we could wait until a vote or two is cast and at least pretend that we still have a Democracy.

This is a political blog; we're allowed to talk about what we think will happen in the future. If it makes you feel better, what gets discussed here has no impact on the real world...

You've got a long slog ahead of you. Don't you know that the GOP will do anything to crush Hillary and most of the junk you think you know about her is simply over-hyped nonsense, from Whitewater to the emails? Why do Democrats fall victim to what the GOP wants us to believe about her?

...WINNING. Too much is at stake for a vote on principle. Tea Party votes on principle. Democrats vote to WIN! If we don't elect a Democrat, a tremendous number of Americans, including the young, the old, the poor and minorities of all kinds, are going to be hurt. We can be smug and votes with our "hearts" for some candidate who will get less than 1% of the vote, but if we lose by 1%, it is on you.

My single vote won't decide the outcome of the election.

I'm not longer willing to settle for the "Not as bad" candidates and perpetuate the corrupt system of two party politics.

If your single vote doesn't matter, does anyone's vote matter? And while we are on the subject, ever hear about the 2000 presidential election? But if you want to vote for Ralph Nader -- who's votes prevented Al Gore from winning in 2000, thus leading us directly into Iraq under Bush -- or someone like him, so be it.

Bush's brother and campaign co-chair scrubbed tens of thousands of voters from voter registration rolls for no reason at all. And Bush's campaign co-chair, who also happened to be in charge of counting the votes in the state, set arbitrary deadlines for vote counting and never got a final tally, as she cut off the counting when her guy was ahead. The Florida State Supreme Court ordered a recount, but Dick Cheney's hunting buddy on the US Supreme Court, Antonin Scalia, who also happened to have been appointed to the Court when the George Bush's father was Vice President, was able to persuade 4 other "justices" that the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment somehow pertained to the election and that the plaintiff should win, even though the defendent got no "equal protection".

And that's not counting all the other roadblocks that were thrown in Al Gore's way in Florida.

I don't think 'inevitability' means what you think it means.

Hillary is 44, Hillary is 45.
