http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/25/obama.clinton.debt/index.html?iref=newssearch(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama has asked top contributors to help former rival Sen. Hillary Clinton retire the debt from her failed presidential campaign, an Obama campaign source said.
Obama and Clinton ran a protracted race for the Democratic presidential nomination that left Clinton with a campaign debt of more than $22 million when she bowed out this month.
About $12 million of that amount is money the senator from New York loaned to the campaign herself.
Obama asked members of his National Finance Committee to contribute to Clinton's campaign if they were so inclined, but he did not direct them to do so, the Obama campaign source said Tuesday.

(45,851 posts)That does not compute, Sanders is a socialist, hardly a camp known for fiscal responsibility in the manner of pragmatic moderate centrists.

(30,481 posts)We know Clinton and Obama think progress is bigger than themselves and are willing to go to great lengths to support one and other. They understand what it takes to keep the massive coalition of the party together and that is how progress will be made. I imagine if Sanders keeps putting such a solid face on progress and the party they would do the same for him. In order for anyone of this to matter one will have to be relevant after Super Tuesday. Otherwise getting debts in order should be really easy.

Do their economies seem so reckless or their standards of living so bad?
This is the kind of education that Bernie is trying to do. Guess he's got to keep putting it out there.

Don't think the content helps either.
Could have read your past posts, that would have been smart.
If you're really a Sanders supporter, don't know how this advances the cause in any way. Including your little laughing emoticon. But, if you got something out of it, God bless.
