Related: About this forumBernie's underwear: Sanders Clarifies How Many Pairs He Owns - claims an "ample supply"
This is a serious question, Sanders said with a laugh following a house party in Iowa City, after a reporter asked him if he only owned one pair of underpants.
Yes, last week I bought my second pair of underwear, Sanders said, making it clear he was joking and that he has an ample supply.
Viewers went wild for the "Saturday Night Live" performance from David, who donned a wig, used a similar accent and joked that the Vermont senator only owned one pair of underwear.
When I was mayor of the city of Burlington, I think I only had one suit, Sanders said. But now as a United States senator, I have increased my supply of suits as well.

As a Bernie supporter this is my 2 cents.
He is a man of the people.
They do not need any fashion advice.
Life is not a beauty contest.
I hope they stay true and do not change if he is elected.
I don't care if the Obamas go down in history as the best dressed first family.
People are tired of the games.
I want president Bernie to go down in history as the man who put this country back
on track.
He can do this without dressing fancy, styling his hair, wearing makeup, or throwing
lavish parties on the tax payers dime.

(12,655 posts)that the flotus did her shopping at some regular clothing store (i forget the name)? i am sure that one of the things most appealing about the sanders is that they are "regular" people. they look fine, although I am sure that a president and First Lady Sanders would get plenty of offers for custom design clothing. Whether they accepted those offers, is another matter. they are of the people. i would also not be shocked if pres sanders toned down the lavish state dinners. there are many examples that they could set while in the White House, and I look forward to it.

(19,326 posts)Ellen asked him that question as part of a silly game she put him through, so he
could "win" a portable campaign podium that folded into a suitcase, with a "BERNIE"
banner hanging in front.
yah, it was silly, but also kinda cool.
Ellen is a Clinton supporter however, and sounded absolutely clueless about economic
and tax policies, but that's obviously not Ellen's forte.
BTW - Bernie's answer was "briefs"
