It is stupid to want to raise taxes without letting people know what they are going to pay for.
Insulting people with legitimate questions does not inspire people and will not win a general election.
If Bernie is the nominee you are going to get more questions then what you are getting here.
Stop telling people to vote for pie in the sky and get serious.

What we don't yet know is who's going to pay for it with increased taxes, which
is what Bill Maher, bless his heart, was pressing Bernie for on his show recently.

I'm for Bernie, and I've been posting all morning about how I want Team Bernie
to get way more specific and detailed about how it all gets paid for, who gets
taxed more, how far down the income%-scale will see significant tax increases,
beyond the .01% Bernie often talks about owning so much of our wealth.

And, I'm fairly confident that is in the works, pretty much as we speak.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

If he says taxes will go up on everyone, Americans deserve to know how much more they will be paying in taxes.

Sanders is perhaps best known in political life for his efforts to champion the middle class, saying that in order to bridge the widening wealth and income inequality gap in America, the country needs a revamped tax policy that forces Wall Street, big corporations, millionaires and billionaires –like Trump – to pay up – and doesn’t impose further taxes on the middle and working class.

However, when pressed by Stephanopoulos about whether the proposed Senate tax legislation he backs, which would use a payroll tax to fund a mandate for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave from all U.S. employers, Sander confirmed that the bill would require taxing all citizens -– not just the top 1 percent.

"The payroll tax would hit everyone –- yeah, it would. But it would mean we would join the rest of the industrialized world and make sure that when a mom has a baby she can in fact stay home with that baby for three months, rather than going back to work at the end of one week," Sanders said..

so the least able to pay, do pay less, and/or have much less of any increase.

Thank you. That answers my question.

in the Senate sponsored by several leading Democrats introduced by Kirsten Gillibrand:
The Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act, or FAMILY Act, is a proposal for paid family and medical leave from Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT).

"The FAMILY Act was introduced today with Senators Brown (D-OH), Blumenthal (D-CT), Booker (D-NJ), Hirono (D-HI), Markey (D-MA), Merkley (D-OR), Mikulsi (D-MD), Reed (D-RI), Schatz (D-HI), Warren (D-MA), Whitehouse (D-RI) and Baldwin (D-WI). U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro is the original co-sponsor on the companion legislation in the House.

So do you now oppose all Democratic efforts that Sanders is part of or what? I can't understand why any decent person would oppose this.

this Bernie's Flat Tax and whining about paying more. They should be taking that up with Senator Gillibrand. Instead they are claiming her bill is his tax....

Good to see you stand with Congressional Democrats! Many here find their proposals to be radical and confiscatory apparently!!!

One minute he's a left-wing nut who can't work with other Democrats, but then when he's supporting an actual popular Democratic proposal that we should all be on board with, he's all of the sudden a bad right-winger who hate the poor.

To these people Bernie is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I only speak for myself and it seems like a good proposal.

I only asked for specific details of his overall tax plan, which apparently includes this plan.

Not sure where you got the idea that I oppose the family leave plan.
