That is to say, do you mind paying, directly or indirectly, for Hillary's support of
- The Iraq and Afghanistan Wars -- and any future wars Hillary is saber-rattling for?
- The Wall Street bank bailouts?
- the loss of American jobs and decline of worker wages through Hillary's support of outsourcing firms such as Tata?
- and the student debt-enslaving Bankruptcy Bill?

(92,061 posts)WASHINGTON -- Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Sunday that he supports President Barack Obama's decision to keep troops in Afghanistan, prolonging the war beyond 2016.
Obama announced last week that he would keep 5,500 U.S. troops in Afghanistan after he leaves office in 2017, breaking his promise to end the war during his tenure. He originally planned to maintain only a small military presence based at the U.S. embassy there.
During an interview on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday morning, host George Stephanopoulos asked Sanders, a Democratic presidential candidate, whether he backs keeping U.S. troops in the country.
"Well, yeah, I won't give you the exact number. Clearly, we do not want to see the Taliban gain more power, and I think we need a certain nucleus of American troops present in Afghanistan to try to provide the training and support the Afghan army needs," he said.

(18,290 posts)it would be hard for it to be the "nth iteration on the same day", now wouldn't it?

(15,805 posts)I always applaud the sincerity of anyone who is making such a genuine, heartfelt search for knowledge, but shouldn't you kick off the thread by presenting a lengthy essay* explaining your own decisions?
*Bonus points for footnotes.

(1,772 posts)How much does this cost?
"I am not a pacifist, Anderson. I supported the war in Afghanistan"
the Wall Street bank bailout was quite profitable for the government, including the Third Amendment sweeps from Fannie and Freddie.
I think I probably benefit more from free trade so I'm not sure what's there to pay for?
I'm not sure why the Bankruptcy Bill needs paying for? Seems like it benefits the government in keeping student defaults low. It would have been more costly for federal student loan programs to allow students to declare bankrupt once they get their degrees in hand.

(18,290 posts)I know I and the rest of the American public -- with the exception of a few Wall Street executives -- did not. Did a single US taxpayer who lost their jobs, homes, and retirement funds due to the Wall Street-created recession receive a single penny from the bailouts?
Guess not, Sub-Genius.
- The cost of free trade? How about the entire US economy: http://prospect.org/article/cost-free-trade

Thank you for admitting that you are friend of loan sharks and support the debt slavery of millions of Americans - and the consequent further weighing down of any future American economy. Very sporting of you.

I'm assuming the question was about government outlays and how they are funded?

(18,290 posts)A 7th grader would understand that.
But you can Play Dumb and invoke governmental accounting jargon to try and change the subject, if you wish.
