should we just close down the election process and allow

Hillary to take the oath of office this coming January instead of waiting 1 year.
Just think of all the money Wall St and the corporate mafia would save $$$
"Clinton, judged winner of debate, holds big national lead over Sanders"

Every day the polls change giving Hillary a larger lead. This Afternoon CNN could take another poll, ask another 50 or 60
Hillary supporters who they plan to vote and report that Hillary takes an even larger lead on their evening broadcast.

I mean cone on..It is about as ridiculous as was the example I just gave.
Elections are not won by polls if they were Hillary would have taken her oath of office on January 20th 2009

I realize this is not an ideal world, but it'd be a lot healthier if people were able to hear ad see candidates, and make decisions over time, based on their own perceptions, observations and opinions -- instead of their view always being skewed by the "who's up today, whose down, who's hot or hot...yadda, yadda yadda" crap.

Polls are a way to determine what public preferences seem to be at a moment in time, but it becomes a self-fulfilling feedback loop, and often is distorted.

But this hyperfocus on them, and the amped-up racehorse coverage, is detrimental to actual campaigning and elections based on sound judgment.

Hillary Clinton Was The 11th Most Liberal Senator

Interesting piece from Daily Kos today, showing Hillary Clinton as one of the most liberal senators. I really don't know where progressives get this idea of Clinton as some raging conservative. Yes, she's a hawk -- as an aspiring president, I don't know that she has much choice in that. But I know people who have worked with both Clintons, and they all say she is much more liberal than he is, especially on social and paycheck issues.

Uh I don't believe your point is valid, sorry.

On election day, the real poll happens. In the meantime, lots of people spend lots of money and time trying to predict what the results of that poll will be. As election day gets closer, the polls get more and more accurate, in aggregate.

Anyone who has watched polling aggregate numbers in recent elections will not dismiss polling so casually.

Watch the aggregate numbers and the trend charts, and you'll see the election results approaching.

Voters will decide the nominee of the Democratic Party, in each state, beginning in February. Just like they do every four years.

You can be Chicken Little and whine and cry about the sky falling and go into hiding. Or you can hit the ground to work for your candidate. Elections are not won on the Internet. Go to New Hampshire and sign up at a campaign office and get your canvassing marching orders to knock on doors.
