if the Va Dems hadn't nominated someone that voters really saw as a relevant alternative we would have been stuck with George Allen AND possibly wouldn't have Senator Tim Kaine.
I didn't work on Webb's campaign but I did show up at his launch, shook his hand, and wished him good luck.
