Trevor Noah smacks down Bernie Sanders’ fans: “Online doesn’t count”

“Daily Show” host Trevor Noah had a chuckle over the media and the internet’s disagreement over who won the Democratic debate.

He pointed out that, according to CNN’s first poll since the debate, Hillary Clinton was declared to be the “clear winner,” and “ruled the stage” by 62 percent. Simultaneously, numerous other CNN talk show hosts claimed that Bernie Sanders had won “hands down” online.

Apparently Sanders was the most Tweeted, Facebooked, and Google-searched Democratic candidate of the night, proving particularly popular with millennials.

But as Noah saliently pointed out: “The Internet is saying that Bernie Sanders won the debate and the media is saying, ‘sorry, the Internet doesn’t apply here.’ It’s sort of the same reason your geeky cousin is still a virgin: online doesn’t count.”

The corporate media isn't just stereotyping or attacking an inanimate object whey they attack the Internet, they're attacking the American People, we started the Internet.

By "corporate," which corporation are you trusting? I believe one of the corporate entities you mention is absolutely dwarfed by the other.

It seems you don't understand how much control of flow and moment they have. Their influence is huge. It's actually very impressive.

The corporate media and its pundits have an inherent conflict of interest.

Punching down when it's 'ok' to. Trevors running hot for me, I've been digging it, but there are times (the joke cribbed from chapelle, this, some of his more misogynist humor) where I wince.

It reminds me of the old saw that ten inches on the internet is five inches in real life.

Especially when the corporate owner is a major donor of the so-called winner.

Naturally, CNN’s parent company is one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest donors

In Election, Media Bias by Poor Richard October 15, 2015 Comment

If you watched the first Democrat Presidential debate last night on CNN, it was plainly obvious that the head honchos did their level best to make it the Hillary Clinton show. The main moderator, Anderson Cooper, used to be a member of the Clinton Global Initiative; and he couldn’t wait to interrupt each of the other candidates so that he could get back to whatever Hillary Clinton wanted to say. Clinton was front and center on the stage, and it wasn’t by accident.

The speaking times for each of the candidates was predictably lopsided, with Clinton getting double the speaking time of some of the other candidates

There's a big difference between a winner and a usurper.
