Thank you Joe Biden for emboldening the Republicans

"I don’t believe, like some do, that’s it naive to talk to Republicans. I don’t think we should look at Republicans as our enemies. They are our opposition, they are not our enemies. And for the sake of the country, we have to work together. As the president said many times, compromise is not a dirty word. " - http://time.com/4081594/joe-biden-president-campaign-transcript-full-remarks/

This was basically Biden endorsing Republican ideas as legit, when everyone knows here how, like the abortion fight, how Republican policies are basically rackets (like using anti-abortion to control women's bodies.)

How do you compromise with a party that is trying to make the American people's lives harder and harder, and give more and more power to the rich? A party that basically wants to economically enslave the 99% to the 1%?

Now the Republicans will use Biden's comments against Hillary or Bernie. I wonder if Joe has been at least partly responsible for Obama trying to nicely negotiate with the Republicans early on.

I'm really glad now that Biden is not running.

He is smarter than that. He disagrees with them but I doubt he would ever confuse disagreements on ideas and the idea of an enemy. He went to Liberty University, for example.

Yes, the overwhelming tenor of the GOP has become a pack mentality.

But among the ranks of Republicans are many who share similar opinions and frustrations as Democrats and Independents. Many who can't or won't break from the partisan mold, but are not real comfortable with the extreme aspects of tghe GOP and its unholy alliance.

For example, Joe Scarborough, of all people, pointed out this morning tat many Republicans share the dismay of liberals at things like obscene bonuses and salaries and the skewed tax system.

Just like you can't pigeonhole all Democrats, the same goes for Republicans outside of the inner circle of shitheads.
