This sounds like something Trump would say:

“A craven hypocrite?”. “That's a little bit harsh, don't you think?” Then he added, with a chuckle Look, she'd make a great vice president. We're willing to give her more credit than Obama did. We're willing to consider her for vice president. We'll give her serious consideration. We'll even interview her.”

I mean can't you just hear Trump say this about one of his opponents??

Except it wasn't. Thumbs down to this, Bernie campaign!

My only problem with the statement is even opening the door to the possibility of a Turd Wayer in his camp but Sanders is far more magnanimous than I.

I can't believe anyone is having the vapors over this statement. It is fucking ridiculous and the only explanation I've gotten for the offense was saying she is up in the polls. Well so the fuck what.

What in the world is the insult?

LBJ wasn't insulted and neither was Biden.

If they are insulted it is wholly the fruit of their sense of entitlement and as such well deserved.

Motherfuck forever the Say Anything crowd and their stupid bullshit. If Sanders said he wouldn't consider her (and he shouldn't) then they'd be falling out about that too.

Good! Let them whine about this, better than the nasty shit the lie about and distort every other damn day.

Not the best of comments but still just one comment. Without seeing a track record I'm going to give this guy the respect I would give Sanders in this area. I can truly see this as equals ribbing each other. It's pretty mild stuff if I'm taking it the right way.

and saying sexist things.

Many times people don't know they are being sexist it is so ingrained in our culture. I am more than happy to give a pass.

The issue comes in, and questions arise in my mind, when their response is vociferous and continued sexist defenses of it or denial.

We see that all the time. That is when the line becomes muddled, at least for me.

I just think if the initial reaction to the comment is more harsh than necessary, the reaction will often match.

We have all seen blatant displays of sexism here. I'm saying I can see why some might get defensive at this charge. Association to Sanders is direct while the comment itself is not.

This follows some criticism directed at Hillary Clinton for joking during her speech that when women talk, they're often seen as shouting. Some in the Sanders camp took serious umbrage to the idea that she would suggest there was as much as a whiff of sexism going on there.

snip....

It's a little bit difficult to hear those very same consultants whinge about unfair accusations of sexism in one article while simultaneously oozing it in another one.

Big fat liar he might have been, I don't dispute that but even he didn't regale us with a harrowing tale of dodging bullets that I can recollect.

Phony, entitled, double talking, triangulating, loose lipped folks with a very casual relationship with the truth don't have much credibility. Between the two, I'll go with my gut and in case of a tie flip a quarter providing it hasn't been funneled away to the wealthy in some right wing scam perpetrated by the TeaPubliKlans or their kissing cousins the Turd Way.

On this one we didn't have to even dig in the couch cushions, the ring of truth was all over it. Just fits the smarmy, dismissive, entitled, power tripping phonies it was reported about to a fucking tee. I don't even recall much of any push back. Yeah, I believe it and probably worse with all that dog whistle and condescension running wild and ain't nothing changed.

Secular Republicans is all I get off of them, her especially and not even that secular kicking it with The Family prosperity cult.
