Centrist Democrats are clutching their pearls - More BernieBros BS....

From Salon's Sophia Tesfaye

Startled by Bernie's success, Bill Daley is leading a Third Way revolt of centrist Democrats against the populist

Centrist Democrats are panicking about the popularity of Bernie Sanders and his impact on the more moderate frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, warning that the Democratic Party’s shift towards a more progressive tone will spell electoral doom.

Sanders’ rhetoric on income inequality and Wall Street capitalism may be great to fill college stadiums, members of the centrist Democratic think tank Third Way argue, but it isn’t enough to defeat Republicans in 2016. Earlier this week, Third Way issued 70-plus policy recommendations meant to push Democrats away from Sanders’ populism to a more centrist tone ahead of next year’s election.

“We propose that Democrats be Democrats,” Third Way’s president Jonathan Cowan declared, “not socialists.”

Seven percent is nothing. I mean, they probably disagreed on legislation to rename a highway, or something, not anything significant. Now if there had been a bill to give the president a blank check to invade a small, defenseless nation, they might have differed on that. But I guess we'll never know.

to blame Bernie for Hillary's defeat in the general.
Well not to worry, Bernie will win the primary and the general. I'd bet on it but that's illegal.

his macbook stuck between his outstretched legs, he was talking loudly to himself about how reddit is better than tumblr and gamergate is about ethics in game journalism, then he launched into an impassioned monologue defending Rand Paul, Ayn Rand, and fiscal conservatism.

I think he was on his way to a Sanders rally!

It's like they are the corporations' mouthpieces within our own party. I know that is their motivation. They must be rebuked. They may have had success when President Clinton ran, but now people see how they only dragged our party to the right and the nation to the right as well. I do not think they will fully influence Hillary, but unfortunately she may try to find a balance between them and Bernie.

As for the socialism comment, true Democratic principles have elements of socialism! Way for them to spout Repuke talking points.

I have never forgotten MY Democratic roots, and WHAT a Democrat is:
Here is what it means for me and my family to BE "DEMOCRATS:

FDR Economic Bill of Rights

In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed.

Among these are:

*The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

*The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

*The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

*The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

*The right of every family to a decent home;

*The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

*The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

*The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

America's own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for all our citizens.

Please note that the above are stipulated as Basic Human RIGHTS to be protected by our government,
and NOT as COMMODITIES to be SOLD to Americans by For Profit Corporations.

My vote and support WILL go to whoever BEST embodies these values.
I am too old and tired to again support the Least of the Worst.
Let the chips fall where they may.

I want a party that will STAND UP for Working Americans."
