Breaking - GOP Will Delay Convention Start

Saw this when I was on Twitter a moment ago:

GOP weighs delaying Monday start of convention in Tampa

Republican officials are "seriously considering" delaying the start of the convention due to Tropical Storm Isaac, according to a senior GOP official who is involved in convention planning.

Convention officials are holding a 6:45 pm conference call update to discuss the weather and their plans.

could this party be in MORE disarray? The hurricane, is ironically, a welcomed distraction, I think.

The Republican National Convention will convene on Monday and then immediately recess until the following afternoon due to Tropical Storm Isaac, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus announced Saturday

Suppose that means they'll convene long enough to vote Romney in and then close down until Tuesday afternoon?

This is the second Republican convention in a row to be delayed due to severe weather. The 2008 convention in Minnesota was delayed by a day because of a hurricane.

Yup.

The Part Robertson crowd always claims that environmental disasters are God's punishment of gays & feminists etc.

We'll see what they have to say about this one.

The storm has pretty much moved out of the way and only the edge will come even close to Tampa. Then again like someone said one less day of Republican talking points to put up with. Yeah for that.
