Howard Fineman just told Chris Matthews that he has heard that focus groups of white women are turning on Obama because of the welfare ad.

He also added that Romney was surprised that they were the most angry about this.

this! We can't sit by and wring our hands. We have to educate all voters on what the repubs are doing: stoking racial fears and angers when the REAL problem is the Republican Party!

I have seen us lose and lose and lose over this stuff. We HAVE to face it. It is a sad fact in our lives! We need to get behind a real educational campaign to persuade these voters that their best economic and political interests are better served in the DEMOCRATIC PARTY!

I think Bill Clinton already corrected the GOP on this a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps the DNC should dispatch him again?

Romney has been running those welfare ads in swing states for weeks. It's going to have to be hammered home again and again that he's lying.

Maybe waiting until after the GOP convention.

I suppose, that they would consider Libertarians to be "the lesser of two evils" & they could get a better deal from Romney and the Libertarians than they could from President Obama.

This means that working class white women need their very own advocates. Who other than Labor could do that for them? But then the Libertarians around them will be hostile to any labor advocacy coming from that demographic, or they will co-opt it.

And the assist....Wow, a GOP funded focus group produces exactly the results the GOP wants. Go figure....

I'm sure Obama's packing his things...

If you want to react to every piece of crap so called GOP focus groups vomit up that are then ingested and regurgitated by hacks like Fineman, have at it. I prefer finer fare. To each his own.

on their racial resentment rebound after we strip them of their personhood.

That is the GOP thinking. They screw everyone over and then find what they are mad about and lie about it until they make them forget how the GOP stripped them of their rights. It's all they have, certainly no one will vote for them on the issues except the fundies and the wingers.

Yes, they are lying and yes the Obama team and the press have called them out on it, but Romney does not care that is being called a liar and neither does his base.

HE DOES NOT CARE THAT WE KNOW HE'S LYING. HE IS SHAMELESS.

If they think it's such a sweet deal, maybe they should quit their jobs and find out what living on welfare is really like.
