(20,450 posts)Congressional Black Caucus is going after Davis. Good on them, but the entire Democratic Party should sign on with the CBC.

The CBC should not be standing alone on this issue!!

(12,154 posts)I agree with the CBC members that this nothing more than political opportunism on Davis's part. How can this guy look in the mirror?

My bet is the mystery is Trump doing a "comedy" routine with the Obama impersonator guy.
He'll never forgive Obama for exposing him as the fool that he is at the White House Press dinner. This is his attempted payback.

(5,062 posts)Trust me, it will leak before Thursday. Hell, they couldn't even keep Romney's VP pick a secret. We'll know beforehand and it will spoil any surprise. Could it possibly be Nancy Reagan?

Trump doesn't deserve that slot. If this is true then it has to be a big gun.

(290 posts)Trump in all his ego and glory is probably demanding that he appear especially while the networks are broadcasting. It's one of the chips he's called in for his donations to Romney.
I say go for it, and show the world how idiotic this whole Republican party has become.

I think it possible and dread the fact that he would likely trash Obama - unfairly - on Israel. I support J Street, which has tried to counter the Netanyahu/Romney/neo con line which is not good for the US, Israel or the Middle East.
karynnj
(59,502 posts)Why? He has been playing it coy on who he will vote for and he is an attention whore. I doubt Obama would give him a role - if lucky, he might get a seat.
He would be billed as a moderate Democrat, strongly supporting Israel, who will endorse Romney on foreign policy. (Lieberman is close to the neo cons that are Romney's advisers.
I hope I am wrong, as that might sway a few Independents. (Not all of whom think of Lieberman as we do.) The other is that they will try to make the point that it is the Democratic party that has moved so far to the left that a VP nominee of 12 years ago can't support it. (That he supported McCain may weaken this a bit.)
